Plot synopsis
The comic starts with King Toadstool demanding Princess Toadstool to call out his armies, saying that he wants to invade someplace, raise taxes, or merely just do something, though the Princess informs him that he needs to buy a new throne for him, saying that his old throne is falling apart. She then takes the king to a furniture store, where a Mushroom wearing glasses, a tie, and shoes, who is a salesman at the store shows the two the different thrones the store has to offer.
The salesman first shows them the "Modern Monarch," a 1980's inspired throne with clashing colors and abstract design, which the salesman says is designed to keep a monarch alert and "on his toes," though the king complains that it does not look very comfortable. He then shows them the "Massage-A-Monarch," a green throne with a futuristic design coming with built-in heat and massage, with the former comming from some vents on the sides of the throne. However, while sitting in it, the king also finds this uncomfortable, and tells the salesman to turn it off.
The Princess then explains that King Toadstool is a "hard-working potentate," and needs a throne that is very comfortable in order to do his job. The salesman, who is standing by a blue pullout bed, explains that he has the throne for him. After unfolding the bed, the "Konvert-A-Throne," the king sits on it and immediately falls asleep, with him remarking that it is comfortable, with Princess Toadstool deciding to buy the throne for him.
